Sara Pulit (UMC Utrecht) is the winner of the BioSB Young Investigator Award 2016. She received the prize of € 500 at the annual Dutch Bioinformatics & Systems Biology conference.
Chair of the Award Committee, Berend Snel: “Sara’s PhD dissertation was exceptional. It contains eleven chapters, including a number of first authorships in nature genetics and other top journals. Sara not only cares about excellent science, but also has been very active in the science reproducibility discussion, and has even contributed a paper on this topic.”
The jury was very pleased with the high quality of all of the theses and posters that were submitted, illustrating that the Dutch bioinformatics and systems biology community is doing very well.
