Our Research

We focus on understanding the molecular mechanisms underlying the plant biomass conversion by fungi and relevant bioindustrial applications. Our research heavily involves integrative analysis of genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics and metabolomics data, as well as molecular and biochemical experiments. During the past decades, we have not only made significant contribution to fundamental research of fungal extracellular enzymes, transcriptional regulators and metabolic pathways associated with biomass conversion, but also provided novel insights into genetic and metabolic engineering of fungal cell factories for better industrial applications.
