Jeroen de Ridder leads new group at Princess Máxima Center

UBC member Jeroen de Ridder has been appointed head of a research group at the Princess Máxima Center for Pediatric Oncology. The De Ridder group applies AI to molecular tumor data for faster, more precise diagnosis of childhood cancers. Jeroen remains affiliated with UMC Utrecht, and will continue to strengthen bioinformatics collaborations across the Utrecht Science Park.
Open Science NL Grant for Duong Vu

UBC member Duong Vu has been awarded funding from Open Science NL, together with co-applicants Jos Houbraken and Wieland Meyer. Their project will build an open, central hub connecting fungal collections and datasets from the Westerdijk Fungal Biodiversity Institute with international resources. NWO ENW-XS grant for Vivek Bhardwaj

UBC member Vivek Bhardwaj has received an NWO Open Competition ENW-XS grant to pursue bold, innovative research on identifying and studying the rarest cells in the human body using microfluidics and genomics.
