Professor Albert Heck has received an ERC Proof of Concept Grant for his project AutoSERA, that identifies powerful therapeutic antibodies directly from blood proteins. Building on earlier ERC-funded research, the project aims to accelerate the discovery of new medicines and will be developed further in collaboration with the Utrecht spin-off Abvion. The grant supports the translation of fundamental research into applications with societal and clinical impact.
