Professor Ynte Ruigrok has been awarded an ICRPA grant from the Dutch Heart Foundation to investigate why brain aneurysms rupture. By studying the role of the protein PF4, the international team aims to improve risk prediction and pave the way for safer, more targeted treatments for patients with brain aneurysms. The project brings together researchers from the Netherlands, Germany and France.
