UBC vision on Education

UBC vision on Education

Whether you know it or not, as a Life Science researcher, bioinformatics is always a part of your work, from simple tasks like creating nice plots to writing complex scripts for data analysis. At the UBC, we believe that developing your bioinformatics knowledge and skills will significantly improve your research.

To that end, UBC teaches basic bioinformatics understanding and disseminates bioinformatics knowledge at Utrecht Science Park. As a learning community, we develop and offer education to all disciplines in the Life Sciences on topics such as using relevant bioinformatics tools and performing detailed data analyses.

Collaboration
The UBC consists of many partners at the Utrecht campus. This allows us to combine expertise and offer a comprehensive set of courses and training workshops. Our community of diverse partners allows us to offer high-quality education and training.

Educational portfolio
A number of introductory and advanced bioinformatics courses are open to everyone who works or studies at Utrecht Science Park. In addition, we are streamlining the Bioinformatics Master’s programme to create a coherent Bioinformatics Profile. Starting in September 2016, this profile will be accessible for all Master’s students at the Graduate School of Life Sciences.
